There are just a few expiries to take note of on the day, as highlighted in bold below.
The first being for EUR/USD at the 1.1530 level. It is not one that ties to any technical significance, so the expiries may not factor too much into play. For now, price action is seeing a bit of consolidation with the ECB policy decision set to be a focus point in the day ahead.
The 100-hour moving average at 1.1550 is locking down the upside potential for the pair, with price movements keeping just below that for now. So, that will be a key near-term technical range play to watch out for in the session ahead.
And as always the case, dollar sentiment and the overall risk mood will be bigger drivers of price action. That as the US-Iran conflict continues to be a mainstay focus for markets as well.
Besides that, there is one for EUR/GBP at the 0.8650 level. It also doesn’t tie to any technical significance, so I would not attach much importance in terms of influence on the expiries there. The short-term floor for the pair remains around 0.8610-20 and is of more intrigue I would say.
If anything else, I would watch for the euro reaction to see if that will be tested post-ECB rather than overthink the potential impact of the expiries above.
