- But it is normal that services will be provided would require a price but should not be presented as tolls
It seems that all the signs are pointing towards a framework agreement being announced, perhaps in the coming days. That will include some preconditions for peace and some “reopening” of the Strait of Hormuz, which Iran looks to be trying to sell as mentioned earlier in the day here.
But again, this serves as a good reminder that a framework agreement is still not the same thing as a full on deal that will be signed by both sides. That especially on the nuclear issue, which remains the biggest sticking point.
There is some likelihood of presenting some ideas on how to move forward and some mention from both sides about exploring certain avenues on the matter of uranium. However, it will not mean much until both Washington and Tehran corroborate with their stories and sing to the same tune on the matter.
We’ve seen one too many a time how such deals can look nice but mean nothing, not least with regards to the US and China on trade.
